Can you give this greyhound a home?

We need your HELP again.

As you know we are currently not in kennels but it doesn't mean we are not able to help our Homed Hall Green Greyhounds who suddenly need our help again. 

So this is Flynn, a gorgeous 8 year old boy who is sadly now looking for a new home and we are going to help his current owner through our Home from Home process, he is currently in a home in Brierley Hill, Dudley. 

We are looking for an experienced greyhound owner because Flynn is not very keen on other dogs and can be reactive when he sees them so we will need someone who is able to handle a large strong dog. Although if you do stop and engage with the other dog walker he calms right down and stands happily on a loose lead.  If he is socialised with a dog he is fine and this only takes a short while, he currently has a dog that visits the house from a family member that runs all over the house and he is not bothered by it. 

Here are some further details provided by his owner: 

Flynn loves his walks and would rather do his business whilst on a walk rather than in the garden. I have always walked him before I get ready for work. I have to be in work for 6am so I walk him at 5am for about 20 minutes. I walk him when I get home at about 9am for another 20 minutes. 

He doesn’t really need this walk he is ok without it but I enjoy walking and so does he. I sometimes walk him in the afternoon and always has a good hours walk in the evening before bed at about 8pm. He is fed at around 8am and 6pm.

Flynn is raw fed and he has one portion in the morning and one at tea time. After his breakfast I do give him salmon oil for his lovely silky coat. 

At midday he gets a chicken wing as a treat. I believe raw feeding has contributed to his overall health which is excellent for his age.

He gets a midday treat and he likes natural ones, his favourite are duck necks and black pudding burgers but he loves frozen chicken wings. I tend not to give him our food but if I do cook a chicken or sausages I will give him some for a treat.

Some further facts 

Stairs: He manages stairs with no trouble but I do not allow him upstairs at home.

Sleeping: He sleeps downstairs on his own bed and in the winter its near to the log burner and he loves to snooze there

Sofa: He has not been allowed on the sofas and he does not attempt to even when we are out 

Travelling: He loves the car

Other Animals: He is not interested in squirrels or birds but he does react if he sees a fox or a cat out

Walking: He walks well on a lead and does not pull but as we have mentioned if he sees other dogs he can be strong

Toys: He does not play much but he has one crocodile toy which he really likes but uses this as a pillow rather then playing

Resource Guarding: Not experienced any of this either with food or toys 

Vaccination: Flynn is fully vaccinated and all paperwork up to date

Medical Issues: None
