RAINBOW BRIDGE
in memoriam
BLUEBELLE
Volunteering from 2006 we had seen hundreds of hounds come in for adoption until one day Gary went “walking”, while I was greeted with….. “there’s a fabulous blue girl come into kennels, you must see her” ….and that was the start of our 10 year adventure with Bluebelle: She loved our cat, her big armchair, people everywhere, dogs large and small and the treat cupboard, squirrels ran across her path too.
On awareness days she greeted all until “siesta” time. She accomplished 7 years helping her cousins find their own treat cupboards until she suffered a stroke which meant she became truly retired in 2015 enjoying quiet times with Tess.
From holding the track record through to the present time, she has been a golden girl, a true friend, a joy to have as our life companion.
Bluebelle you have gone to be with Tess once again, and to join your special friends including Star, Flynn, Jeff, Batman, Diva, Cleo and Tully. Have fun together….. Remembering your humans love you darling girl, and we will be re-united.
Listen for our call to you and Tess to “come on you two!”.
How we wish we could be back at the beginning again with these words … “there’s a fabulous blue girl come in…”
Love Susan and Gary
“adopting just one greyhound won’t change the world…
but the world will surely change for that one greyhound”
